Scholarship Opportunities
The Alabama Bail Bond Association is pleased to announce our 2024 – 2025 annual scholarship.
The scholarship is offered once a year each Fall to two deserving individuals, each scholarship will be in the amount of $2500 each. In addition to completing this application form, applicants will be required to submit unofficial school transcripts, and an essay.
Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Applicants who are US citizens or permanent residents and reside in the State of Alabama.
- Applicants who are current seniors in high school or are currently enrolled at any accredited US college, university, professional/grad school, community college or trade school on a fulltime basis
- Applicants who have a minimum GPA of 2.7
- Applicants must be related to an Alabama Bail/Recovery Agent
Scholarship Awards are awarded without regard to race, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation. Alabama Bail Bond Association will not award scholarships to applicants who are not qualified and reserves the right not to award a scholarship in a given year.
NOTE: Scholarship funds will only be awarded on behalf of the student upon evidence of registration in an accredited US college, university, professional/grad school, community college or trade school. Scholarship funds will be awarded directly to the student’s institution, upon evidence of registration in classes. This includes student identification number and correct address of school’s Bursar’s Office
The Application and Attachments:
Please provide detailed answers to the application questions and submit all required attachments. All information received from applicants will be maintained in confidence. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Required materials for a complete application:
- A completed application
- Unofficial school transcripts (Winners will be required to submit official transcripts before the awards will be disbursed)
- An essay (not to exceed 500 words) addressing your views on the Bail Industry. Essays exceeding the word-count limit will not be read.
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
- Bail Bond License number of Bail Agent/Recovery Agent relative
